Partnership Meetings

On 8th July, we had a wonderful time meeting colleagues from Kofi Annan Foundation, Declan O'Brien, Senior Programme Coordinator, elections and Democracy, and Karen Zambia, Programme Officer, Elections and Democracy. We discussed the program around Peace Charter on Political Decency which targeted groups will sign to adhere to throughout the campaign period.

The charter contains a set of ethical codes, which will regulate the conduct of the different participants in the civic process. We also discussed collaborative work on the Swahili Coast, institutionalizing community engagement, peace and security, and misinformation.

Kofi Annan Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organization established in Switzerland in 2007 by the late former UN Secretary-General working to help build peaceful, democratic, and resilient societies.

In each nation, and among all nations, we must work to promote unity based on our shared humanity- Kofi Annan.
