This has been a challenging year! However, in many ways, it has also been a year of tremendous clarity and insight. We were reminded this year how similar our aspirations are and yet how much disparity exists in our ability to achieve those aspirations; we confirmed how interconnected our nations are and that injustice in one location can cause pain and outrage across the globe; and most importantly, we learned how to stay genuinely connected even while isolated!
As we transition into the year 2021, we hope the insights of 2020 continue to guide us individually, within our families, institutions, nations, and across the globe to a realization of how truly interdependent we are. We believe this realization will serve as a source of continued motivation for the critical work we are all doing to raise awareness, advocate for change, fight the COVID-19 pandemic, implement sustainable, technology-enhanced development programs, and create new knowledge on how we can do better and be better!
