Stacey Fru becomes an Ambassador of The Youth Cafe, to champion Youth Empowerment in Africa.

Stacey Fru, a 13-year-old Philanthropist, Child Activist, Inspirational Speaker and International Multiple Award-Winning Bestselling Author of Chapter Books, becomes an Ambassador of The Youth Cafe, to champion Youth Empowerment in Africa.

As the need of youth empowerment grows in Africa, The Youth Cafe is taking the lead. In Africa, young people number 845 million: at The Youth Café, we believe that this gives the world 845 million reasons to work with them.

Early this year, Stacey was named as a Global Child Prodigy. In the past, she was honoured by the President of Egypt as one of 5 most influential young Africans and became  the youngest TEDx speaker in South Africa.

The Youth Cafe  was launched in 2012 by a group of a bright and motivated  young people who were honoured to be selected to give input to the United Nations High Level Panel of Eminent Persons on Post 2015 Agenda. Together they devised the model that The Youth Cafe  utilizes today. Bolstered by grassroots knowledge, The Youth Cafe has dedicated time and effort to bringing hope to young people

A new initiative led by The Youth Cafe is the capital campaign for a $2 million  for a regional Youth Leadership Center as a permanent facility as its work grows. The Leadership Center will provide opportunities for young people to participate in an interactive and innovative learning experience that combines sports with  workshop-type instruction and safe spaces for political dialogue. The programme is specifically designed to invest in capacity building and expansion of skill sets so that program participants are strong, result-oriented leaders.
