Inclusion Networks; Inclusion Networks are an integral part of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy for The Youth Cafe. they are employee-led, organisation networks formed to act as a resource to both staff and the organisation. These nationally structured, regionally connected groups of staff with common interests and backgrounds aim to create a better shared future for young people everywhere.

Youth Forums
Youth fourms provide networking volunteerism and professional development opportunities focused onspecific industries or skill sets. Our Three youth forums are The Youth Cafe Youth Development professionals, The Youth Cafe Technology Associaltion, and The Youth Cafe YoungWomen in STEM.
Pay Equity
At The Youth Cafe, we believe in equal pay for equal work. We define pay equity as compensating staff fairly and equitably, without regard to gender. race and ethnicity (worldwide and in Kenya, respectively). To ensure neutrality, we engage independent, third party experts to conduct pay equity reviews. We analyse compensation of staff performing similar work or who hold similar roles to identify and address unfaire disparities. This ensures that all staff are paid fairly and equitably for comparable work, regardless of their nationality, race, ethnicity or gender.
Gender Balance
The Youth Cafe strives for a gender-equal workplace and world. We believe that investing in and empowering young women not only directly benefit our staff, but also our organisation and the communities we work with. Thats why our aspiration to mirror the diversity of the regions we work in includes being 50% women-led, all across the region and world.

Our staff can be nominated for a national service award. The Youth Cafe recognises up to three award-winners each year to represent the organisation at our annual award ceremony.
