The Youth Cafe Limited, as part of their sustainability initiative, has been endowed by NextGen Endowment Fund whereby, through its Broad-Based Investment Scheme, funding is allocated to The Youth Cafe solely for the purpose of improving the lives of mainly young people, with epecific focus on and people with disabilities living in rural, peri-urban and urban Africa in the following focus areas. The Committee is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring an effective resource mobilization and partnership strategy to maintain strategic partnerships and engagement with key stakeholders and recommend to board for approval. In addition, the committee is responsible for monitoring development and implementation of business plans and guiding on and monitoring financing for the business.
The committee is responsible for ensuring best practices in corporate governance are entrenched and also managing nominations to the Board. The Committee, in discharging its role, is empowered to study or investigate any matter of interest or concern that the Committee deems appropriate and shall have the sole authority to retain outside counsel or other experts for this purpose, including the authority to approve the fees payable to such counsel or experts and any other terms of retention.
The committee is responsible for receiving audit reports and monitoring risk and compliance for the company. The composition of the audit and risk membership should be based on knowledge and skills relating to audit and risk. It has three members.
The committee is responsible for implementation of research, marketing and communication strategies for the organisation.
