Economic growth under The Youth Cafe platform focuses on youth empowerment as a catalyst for creating a better future. By nurturing and harnessing the potential of young individuals, this initiative not only addresses unemployment challenges but also contributes to the overall development of the economy. Through various programs, training, and mentorship opportunities, The Youth Cafe aims to equip young people with essential skills and knowledge, empowering them to become entrepreneurs, innovators, and change-makers. As these empowered youth enter the workforce, they generate income contribute to GDP growth, and create job opportunities for others. Moreover, this virtuous cycle of youth empowerment and economic growth fosters a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem, driving societal progress and shaping a brighter future for Africa. It recognizes that :

1. 30% average percentage change in earnings following participation in TYC-innovators workforce development programs

2. 40% of individuals gained new employment following participation in TYC-implemented workforce development programs

3. 20% of youth have increased accessibility to finance, capital, and grants

4. 80% of individuals have improved soft skills following participation in TYC-assisted workforce development programs  Vocational training institute for Dandora Youths and neighboring areas, Kenya focuses on providing skill training in various areas such as Hair Dressing, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, and Beauty.

 

1. Cosmetology etc. Also, I offered over 400 internship and volunteering opportunities to young people from over 12 countries to help accomplish over 400 projects.

2. 70% of individuals have completed TYC-assisted workforce development programs

3. 75% of individuals have improved perceived quality of employment following participation in TYC-assisted workforce development programs

4. 60% of participants in TYC-assisted programs have increased access to productive economic resources who are youth (15-29)

5. 30% of youth have participated in civic engagement activities following soft skills/life skills training or initiatives from TYC-assisted programs

1. 4000+ individuals have participated in TYC-assisted group-based savings, micro-finance or lending programs

3. 23+ laws, policies, or procedures adopted or implemented with TYC assistance which are designed to promote youth participation at the regional, national, or local level

5. 570 young people in the program have shown interest in the Financial Literacy Program; 199 respondents were accepted for the program

6. 64+ youth-led organizations based in Africa were provided with seed funding and capacity building through  The Youth Cafe’s Youth Enterprise Fund, which has seen seven editions since its launch in 2013.

7. 94,055 direct beneficiaries with projects promoting youth empowerment reached in 39 countries. Over the past six years, more than 1.7 million direct and indirect beneficiaries have been impacted.

TYC assists in demystifying the banking sector, offering expert advice and educating the youth to improve their ability to make sound financial decisions in areas such as Credit and Debt, Investing, Savings, and Banking, among others

TYC offers support to youth-led organizations based in Africa through the Youth Enterprise Fund to acquire seeds and build their capacity.
