The 2025 Integrity Walkathon - Youth Café Partners With Transparency International Kenya

Data Team
September 16, 2025

At The Youth Café, we are committed to advancing ethical leadership, transparency, and accountability by placing young people at the center of governance and civic engagement. We are therefore honored to once again partner with Transparency International Kenya (TI-Kenya) as the official youth advocacy partner for the 2025 Integrity Walkathon, scheduled for Saturday, 27th September 2025, in Nairobi.

This year’s theme, “Stepping Forward for Transparency & Accountability”, coincides with the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) — a timely reminder that access to information and citizen participation are the foundation of just and democratic societies.

Building on Last Year’s Success

In 2024, the Integrity Walkathon united thousands of individuals, institutions, and integrity champions across Kenya. With the support of partners like The Youth Café, the event was a resounding success, amplifying the call for ethical governance and civic responsibility. We are proud to continue this journey and build on that momentum in 2025.

Why Organisations Should Participate

The Walkathon is more than an 8km walk — it is a civic movement. TI-Kenya highlights the following reasons for participation:

  • Advocating for Transparency & Accountability – Strengthening anti-corruption efforts through civic engagement.

  • Empowering Communities – Mobilising grassroots participation to demand good governance.

  • Policy Influence & Public Awareness – Contributing to national conversations on integrity and ethical leadership.

  • Strengthening Networks – Collaborating with like-minded organisations, activists, and policymakers.

  • Amplifying Citizen Voices – Using the platform to advocate for systemic reforms and citizen-led accountability.

How The Youth Café Will Support the 2025 Walkathon

As TI-Kenya’s youth advocacy partner, we are committed to:

  • Mobilising participation – Engaging youth networks, activists, and community members to join the walk.

  • Advocacy & Public Awareness – Leveraging our platforms to amplify the Walkathon’s message and governance reforms.

  • Sponsorship & Financial Support – Rallying resources to support logistics and outreach.

  • Exhibitions & Information Booths – Showcasing youth-led initiatives in governance, social justice, and human rights.

  • Creative Contributions – Sharing impactful youth stories, art, and performances that spotlight the fight against corruption.

Recognition & Opportunities for Partners

Participants and partners in the Walkathon will gain:

  • Recognition during the event for contributions to governance and anti-corruption.

  • Networking opportunities with government agencies, development partners, corporates, and fellow CSOs.

  • Media & publicity exposure across event communications, media features, and social platforms.

  • Policy dialogue platforms in post-walk discussions on governance and integrity reforms.

Call to Action

The 2025 Integrity Walkathon will bring together at least 5,000 participants to walk in solidarity for a corruption-free Kenya. It is also a fundraising platform to support TI-Kenya’s initiatives, including civic education, whistleblower protection, legal aid, and evidence-based advocacyConcept Note (5).

📅 Date: Saturday, 27th September 2025
📍 Venue: Nairobi – Starting at Freedom Corner, Uhuru Park
