The organizations underscore the essential nature of climate action that protects the human right to health and the human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
WINGSForum aims to provide a platform to imagine, explore and experiment with different paths as individuals, organizations, and as a field. It brought together more than 350 attendees from over 50 countries from October 3-5, 2023, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. Philanthropy leaders, professionals, networks, experts and changemakers from around the world representing all forms and types of philanthropy were here.
The Youth Café recently met officials of the Royal Danish Embassy to discuss possible partnership areas as reflected in the Embassy's new strategic framework for the year 2021 to 2025. The meeting was attended by Embassy representatives including Makena Kirima- Programme Manager who is part of the docket of Access to Justice, Rule of Law and Peace, Security and Stability; Joseph Kimani Njuguna, a Programme Manager in the Democratic Governance department; Laura Balle Svenden, serving as an intern: as well as Richard Wambua and Jossie Nyamai who are part of the Embassy’s Advisory Youth Sounding Board in charge of Climate Action, Environment and Public Budgeting respectively. On the other hand, The Youth Café was represented by Willice Onyango, Maureen Amuhinda, Fredrick Wambua and Tabitha Wangechi.

The Youth Ecopreneur Awards are the first of their kind which aim to promote youth entrepreneurship in the green economy. The award is calling upon young ecopreneurs with innovative solutions in three categories; Renewable energy and energy efficiency, Sustainable waste management and Efficient use of water.
The Youth Café is honored to have been invited in its capacity as a youth-led and youth serving organization to be a panelist on the Peace and Cohesion break away session for the 7th Annual Devolution Conference with a specific theme of Prevention and Management of Climate Change Instigated Conflicts: Collaborative Responses. We look forward to attending the conference when the date is set!
