Stacey is a 13-year-old Philanthropist, Child Activist, Inspirational Speaker and International Multiple Award-Winning Bestselling Author of Chapter Books, who was named a Global Child Prodigy this 2020. Stacey was honoured by the President of Egypt as one of 5 most influential young Africans. She is the youngest TEDx speaker in South Africa. She wrote her 1st book, ‘Smelly Cats’ without her parents’ knowledge at the age of 7. With over 20 awards and recognitions and still writing, Stacey has published 5 Chapter Books. Her first book was approved by the South African Department of Basic Education as suitable for young learners from Early Childhood through to Primary Schools.
A special attribute about Stacey’s writings is that one of her books is available in Braille, and Blind SA adopted one of her short stories as their reading for World Read Aloud Day 2020. Her 3rd book “Smelly Cats on Vacation” was launched on the same day as her education foundation - The Stacey Fru Foundation, through which she empowers others. Stacey writes stories, essays, poems, speeches and attempts songs. She is a guitarist, a motivational speaker, storyteller, poet, TV talk show host, chairlady, and teacher.
