Workshop On Fast-Tracking The Implementation Of The United Nations Convention Against Corruption, Nairobi, Kenya 13-17 February 2017 | East African Association Of Anti-Corruption Authorities

High-level government representatives from Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda, together with civil society representatives and development partners, met in Nairobi, Kenya from 13 to 17 February 2017 to build and foster partnerships and create a Regional Platform to Fast-track the Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in support of the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 16 in Eastern Africa. This platform builds on the momentum generated by the UK Anti-Corruption Summit that took place in London on 12 May 2016. The workshop focused on four thematic areas, which were identified on the basis of an analysis of recommendations from the first cycle UNCAC reviews and ongoing technical assistance requests emanating from the region
