The inaugural Africa–Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) Stakeholders Meeting, held on October 22, 2025, in Brussels, marked a major milestone in strengthening cross-continental collaboration for innovation. As an active member of the AEIP consortium, The Youth Café played a strategic role, championing youth priorities, elevating voices often sidelined in high-level discussions, and reaffirming the critical role of young people in shaping resilient and inclusive innovation ecosystems.
Pan-African Leaders Adopt Landmark Call To Action On Health, Environment, And Climate
Africa has taken a major step toward strengthening the continent’s climate and health resilience following the successful conclusion of the Pan-African Conference on Environment, Climate Change, and Health, held in Nairobi.
The conference brought together scientists, policymakers, health professionals, environmental agencies, development partners, civil society, and youth representatives. Participants reaffirmed a unified commitment to safeguarding human health and protecting Africa’s ecosystems in the face of rising climate threats.
The gathering culminated in the adoption of the Pan-African Call to Action on Enhanced Leadership in Health, Environment, and Climate Action (HECA), a comprehensive declaration that sets the direction for coordinated, Africa-led climate and health interventions.

On 3 November 2025, The Youth Café participated in the Hybrid Workshop on Grant Writing for Kenyan Researchers and Innovators held at the University of Nairobi’s Chandaria Auditorium. Organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Kenya in collaboration with the University of Nairobi (UON), the Delegation of the EU to the African Union, and EURAXESS Africa, the workshop brought together policymakers, researchers, innovators, and academic leaders to strengthen Kenya’s participation in Horizon Europe’s Africa Initiatives and enhance access to EU-funded research and innovation opportunities. The full-day event aimed to equip participants with practical skills in grant writing, proposal development, and consortium building—key pillars in advancing science, technology, and innovation (STI) excellence across Africa.

The UNCAC Coalition has released the 2025 Civil Society Toolkit ahead of the 11th Conference of the States Parties (CoSP) to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), scheduled to take place in Doha, Qatar, from 15–19 December 2025.
This toolkit serves as a practical guide for civil society organizations (CSOs) planning to participate in CoSP11, helping them understand procedures, plan activities, and maximize their impact before, during, and after the conference.
