The Youth Cafe joins HENNET because its proposed interventions are aligned with HENNET's goals of achieving malaria elimination, ending HIV/AIDS epidemic, and building resilient and sustainable health systems. Our work will contribute to reducing the burden of malaria and contribute to the achievement of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets among young people in Kenya and improving their health and well-being.

Call To Action To Civil Society | The Future Of The Summit For Democracy Needs Youth

Democracy organizations co-leads of the Youth Democracy cohort (International IDEA, the European Partnership for Democracy, the European Democracy Youth Network and AfricTivistes) call on civil society organisations and other stakeholders around the world to promote youth political participation as a bedrock of the Summit for Democracy process for the future.

The call comes in the context of the second Summit for Democracy which takes place in Washington, Seoul, San Jose, The Hague, and Lusaka on the 29th and 30th of March 2023 at which countries will discuss the most pressing challenges facing democracy. The Summit for Democracy will mobilize leadership and commitments to expand support to democracy globally.

The Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP), the leading nonpartisan global network to end violent conflict and build sustainable peace, on behalf of its 130+ members working in 181 countries and The Youth Cafe undersigned organizations, urges the Department of State and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to ensure conflict prevention and peacebuilding programs are robustly funded and integrated in the U.S. government’s COVID-19 strategy and supplemental funding from the American Rescue Plan.

The Youth Cafe is proud to share the eighth Impact Report produced based on the Social Return on Investment methodology. The average Social Return on Investment ratio for The Youth Cafe is 1:12, meaning that an investment of $1 delivers $12 value in terms of positive social impact. The present report outlines the main activities and projects carried out by The Youth Cafe from January to December 2020. The activities were developed and implemented in compliance with The Youth Cafe Strategic approved Plan for 2018-2023 and The 2017 Youth Manifesto.

Lockdown Live, an online series that aimed to unite students remotely, brought together Sussex Writes, a community project which sends Sussex students into schools to work with pupils on creative projects and writing projects and The Youth Café – a pan-African NGO which has a mission to advance youth-led approaches on a number of global issues.
