The Youth Cafe is working together to ensure policy development and widespread education on AI. Customized educational content is required for young people. Catering to contextual realities such as local languages and methods of information dissemination. In addition, The Youth Cafe is partaking in processes leading up to the adoption of a Global Digital Compact is essential for consolidating worldwide scientific consensus on AI’s potential, risks, and challenges. Therefore, African youth should engage strategically with the “Governing AI for humanity” agenda which is being led by the United Nations (UN).

The Youth Cafe is excited to become a member of the Trust Law. TrustLaw is the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global pro bono service that links high-impact NGOs and social enterprises with the best law firms worldwide. Trust law offers free services for NGOs/social enterprises. They connect NGOs/social enterprises to lawyers in over 175 countries worldwide. TrustLaw works with high-impact organizations requiring pro bono legal assistance.

National Youth Summit For Developing A Youth Manifesto 2022 | Magnifying The Visibility Of Youth Leaders.

The Youth Summit on Magnifying the Visibility of Youth Leaders was a unique in-person event designed by young people for young people. The summit was convened by the International Republican Institute and The Youth Café and organized with strategic partners, including 254 Youth Policy Café, The Global Development Incubator, and The Global Opportunity Youth Network support. The summit convened 40 youth, including youth political aspirants and civil society representatives with diverse sectoral knowledge on policy issues and priorities for the Kenyan youth. The three-day summit called on young people from all over Kenya to discuss the needs of youth that will integrate into the Kenya Youth Manifesto 2022.

On December 9-10, 2021, President Biden will host the first of two Summits for Democracy. The Youth Café is delighted to be joining the Youth Town Hall during the Summit for Democracy. The Summit for Democracy will be a virtual event hosted by the President of the United States and joined by other Chiefs of State, Heads of Government, international and civil society organization leaders, and other governmental and non-governmental participants.
