The Youth Cafe took part in the 2023 Global Philanthropy Forum conference, which focused on evolving mindsets and confronting orthodoxies in philanthropy. The program sought to engage in needed conversations but was not often conducted in a public forum. It sought roadmaps for funders to embed topics like accountability, localization and justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in their global work. Launching The European Union Youth Empowerment Fund I Financial Support To Youth-Led Initiatives

The Youth Cafe participated in the Launching of the EU Youth Empowerment Fund Launch (YEF). YEF is the key flagship of the empowerment pillar of the Youth Action Plan in EU External Action (YAP). The YAP features flagships for the three pillars of the plan: engage, connect and empower. The YEF will be implemented as a pilot initiative worth €10 million that will provide direct financial support to youth-led initiatives in partner countries focusing on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the local level, in particular on environment and climate change and the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalised youth.

The African Youth Climate Assembly (AYCA), is a dynamic and inclusive conference aimed at uniting and amplifying the voice of African youth, sharing ideas, and showcasing youth solutions in the global fight against climate change. With its focus on fostering collaboration and engagement, AYCA will gather young change-makers from over 60 nations across Africa and beyond, showcasing their work and connecting them with AU heads of state, policymakers, influential personalities, business leaders, non-state actors, and esteemed scientists. Under the theme, “African-led Solutions to Global Challenges”, our primary objective of the assembly is seeking systematical embedment of the voices of youth in the climate decision-making frameworks at the county, national, and AU levels before, during, and after the African Climate Summit.

The Youth Café Partners With Nexford University

The Youth Cafe signed The Partnership Agreement and the Learn-to-Earn Coalition Agreement with Nexford University, which will positively impact many youths' lives. The Youth Cafe will receive partnership benefits, including an exclusive scholarship to The Youth Café community and shared revenue with The Youth Café for every member of its community who enrolls at Nexford through marketing initiatives and earns up to $300 in shared revenue.
