We, representatives of over 200 youth and civil society organisations from across Africa and Europe, convened from 20–21 November 2025 in Luanda, Angola, on the margins of the 7th AU–EU Heads of State and Government Summit to deliberate on the pillars of the Africa–Europe partnership: Peace, Security and Governance; Prosperity; People; and Multilateralism. Recognising the important role of civil society and youth and adopting a people-centred and human-rights based approach to development, we reaffirm the critical contribution of youth and civil society in guaranteeing peace and prosperity on our continents and globally.
10th Economic And Social Council Youth Forum | A Decade Of Action | Building A Resilient Recovery
The annual Youth Forum of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on 7-8 April 2021. The Forum is being organized at a time when the world is witnessing an unprecedented global emergency with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Youth Forum will address the theme1 of ECOSOC and the 2021 UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF) focusing primarily on COVID-19 and its impact on the implementation of the Decade of Action for Sustainable Development and the kind of recovery that can put us back on track to build a better world as envisioned in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
What We Learnt From The First 75 UN 75 Youth Townhall | The Youth Cafe
The United Nations will mark 75 years of existence this year. To celebrate this anniversary, the UN has continued to stimulate conversations around the role of global cooperation and the UN that we want. The World is in the middle of a huge pandemic which has affected our normal as we know it. Due to this pandemic, major activities have been halted and this has affected major UN meetings with regard to the UN75declaration. Under the able leadership of António Guterres secretary general UN, the conversation around this declaration has continued online.
