The open call has global prizes. Selected finalists will receive seed funding (quantum subject to the needs of each project) to pilot their innovations in their communities, as well as research mentorship to help monitor and evaluate their projects, write research manuscripts, and disseminate their findings to a wider audience. Finalists will also be given the opportunity to have their projects recognized at international conferences and ceremonies.
Activists, Campaigners, Unionists, Journalists: Free Twitter Power Boot Camp coming up to build people power. The Youth Café is supporting Social Movement Technologies, Africans Rising, Girls First Network from Africa and Laudato Si’ Movement to promote the Twitter Power Boot Camp for Activists and Campaigners waging justice against big adversaries and journalists across the world.
Utilizing the mobilisation inspired by the 50th Earth Day, The Youth Cafe and its partners are convening a Virtual Youth Dialogue with UNEP ED Inger Andersen with intention of providing young people the opportunity to hear from Ms. Andersen and most importantly share their concerns, challenges and also suggestions on how UN Environment can further support youth movements and respond to their needs in these times. Overall, this youth dialogue will also serve as a learning opportunity for youth groups across the world, and comes at a time where motivation is much needed.
